From Student to Insider — and Back to Helping Students
I grew up understanding that college could change everything. I worked hard, won full-ride scholarships to both UCLA and UCI, and went on to graduate from UC Berkeley with distinction. But it was what came next that changed my perspective forever.
As a Former Admissions Reader at UC Berkeley and Former Outreach Director at UCLA, I spent years on the other side of the table — reading thousands of applications and watching brilliant students get passed over for entirely preventable reasons. I saw how the system worked, and I knew most families had no idea.
That’s what drove me to start coaching. I founded a Charter High School in Orange County to expand access to quality education. I became a TikTok College Admissions Educational Partner, reaching millions of families with free guidance. My work has been recognized in the Wall Street Journal.
Today I run egelloC — a college admissions coaching company built on the principle that every student deserves expert guidance, not just the ones who can find it by luck.
